Celebrate Spring! – Encaustic and Collage Workshop
You will combine collage papers, images from nature, and dried flowers into layers of hot wax to create beautiful encaustic paintings. All materials are provided. Short demonstrations of basic tools and techniques will be followed by plenty of time devoted to guided hands-on creating. The workshop is suitable to those new to encaustic painting as well as those  with experience.
 
Date and Time
Saturday, May 17, 2025 10am-4pm (with an hour break for lunch). Please bring a bag lunch or plan accordingly. 
 
Location: Free Range Art Farm, Grafton, WI
 
Workshop fee: $175 including materials 
 
What to bring for this course: 
All materials will be provided. Each participant will work on 2 wood panels (one 8x8 and one 6x6). Dress comfortably and pack a bag lunch or bring a dish to share. Below is a list of optional supplies you are welcome to bring to enhance your artwork (NOT required). 
Small natural dried and pressed flowers/leaves (not silk or plastic)
Oil pastels or water-soluble oil crayons 
Permanent markers (black, color or metallic)
